Chinese Medicine

I am a registered TCM dermatology herbalist, having trained under, Mazin Al-Khafaji. I use Chinese herbal medicine for treating skin problems such as: acne, rosacea, and atopic eczema.

Chinese medicine uses herbs both internally and topically to heal the source and the symptom of the skin issue. While doing this, it considers the long term health and well-being of the patient and therefore no toxic or gut damaging products are used. The aim of this approach is to return the body to a state of health so that it is strong enough to maintain the results on its own. This avoids the need for a long term, expensive regime of lotions and/or supplements to be adhered to.

The combination of herbs selected to make the medicines are individual to the patient’s exact needs, pressure cooked, vacuum packed and shipped directly from Avicenna pharmacy. Every three weeks I change the ingredients in the formula according to the changing nature of the condition as it heals. A course of treatment generally lasts about 3 to 4 months, depending on the duration and severity of the condition.

Side effects include improvements in: sleep, digestion, bowel movements, mood and females can expect healthier ovulation and periods while men can expect improved erectile function.
