I gave birth in 2006 to a wonderful daughter. When she was two I decided it was time to try for another. After two years of trying I finally got pregnant, however, it was an ectopic pregnancy so ended with emergency surgery and the loss of my left tube. Soon after we started trying again but a year later nothing was happening and I began to worry. I went to the doctor and was told that I might have endometriosis and was put on the waiting list for surgery.
In the mean time I heard of Maria though a mutual friend and decided to try Maya I to prepare me for surgery. I knew I had a lot of scar tissue from the ectopic to clear and I hoped that Maya abdominal massage would work.
Following my first treatment my next period was very painful but I felt that something had definitely cleared. After 4 sessions with Maria and for the first time in my life, I had a period with absolutely no pain!
Maria found throughout my treatments that my uterus was tilted towards my low back; this helped me understand why my back was so sore during my period. She has worked to correct this and has taught me valuable lessons in self care.
I was called for surgery four months later; afterwards, the doctor was surprised that I didn’t have much scar tissue or adhesions from the previous op. I felt that Maya had shifted most of it. I couldn’t recommend this therapy enough, and Maria’s skills. The most worthwhile therapy I have ever done in my life.
After the surgery I started having painful periods again and also pain around mid cycle. I had to wait three months before I could continue with Maya massage. Once I started back, my periods became pain free again. Six months later I was pregnant and in Sept 2012 I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl.
I couldn’t recommend this therapy enough, and Maria’s skills. The most worthwhile therapy I have ever done in my life.
